![]() The shims are only about $15 bucks a box and a lot cheaper than getting the heads machined. Also when you use the pedestal mount roller rockers you will need some shims to go underneath them to fill in the slot on the pedestal that the old rocker arms bolted to. I think they are 5/16 but I could be wrong about that. I forget what size it is but it is relatively small compared to the regular rocker studs. The weak point of the pedestal mount rockers is the attaching bolt. My motor was done by 5800 to 6000 RPM so I had no need to go that high. I really don't know if I would go as high as 6300 RPM with those pedestal mount roller rockers or not.
